2008 NEF Scholarship Award Winner
Yvonne Kwan
The Newark Educational Foundation is pleased to recognize the winner of the 2008 NEF Scholarship Award, Yvonne Kwan (photo).
Yvonne has played flute in the Newark Memorial High School advanced band for the past 4 years and the Jazz band for the past two years. She has been first chair, and section leader for both groups and also performs with the Newark Symphonic Winds. Rounding out her high school experience, Yvonne has been a Track & Field athlete, Vice President of the Interact Club, a member of the Drama Club and a member of the Harvard Model Congress.
Yvonne graduates from Newark Memorial with a 4.2 GPA plans on continuing her education at the University of California, Berkeley.
