Awards for Excellence
Each May, the Newark Educational Foundation holds its annual Awards For Excellence which honors outstanding Newark educators, administrators, and patrons of education. Following are prior recipients of the awards, and some of our sponsors.
The Awards for Excellence program recognizes outstanding educators, support staff and community members within the Newark Unified School District. Awards will be presented to those who have made significant ongoing contributions to the students of the District. The recipients were nominated by their peers and others in the educational community for making a positive impact while demonstrating a commitment to excellence through direct or indirect service to students during the particular academic year.
